Online General Services

Lincoln County Public Libraries offers a variety of services to our patrons and the general public. We have computers, copy and fax machines, scanners, basic computer and software training, basic e-book training, databases, research and reference tools, monthly cultural, educational and entertainment based programming.

Auto Mate

Powered by the automotive experts at MOTOR, AutoMate provides the most accurate, authoritative and up-to-date service and repair information for thousands of domestic and imported vehicles. All content comes from the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and includes step-by-step repair information, diagrams, maintenance schedules, parts and labor estimates, service bulletins and recalls. Auto Repair Reference Center

This database contains do-it-yourself repair and maintenance information on most major manufacturers of domestic and imported vehicles. New repair procedures, bulletins and updates are added to the product on a regular basis. All of the content has been created by ASE certified technicians. Small Engine Repair Reference Center

This reference database provides detailed yet user-friendly repair guides for all manner of small engines including snowmobiles, motorcycles, lawnmowers, chainsaws, and more. All of the content is organized in a powerful, easy-to-use manner so that users can quickly find the information they need. EBSCO Host Research Databases

This group of databases provides access to millions of magazine, academic journal, and newspaper articles covering a wide range of topics.  If you’re not in the library, you can access this database using your library card.

Educator’s Center

This database offers teachers lesson plans, support materials and professional development resources. If you’re not in the library, you can access this database using your library card.

Explora Primary for Students Grades K-5

Explora Primary gives students access to information about animals, arts & music, biographies, geography, language arts, math, science & health and social studies. if you’re not in the library, you can access this database using your library card.

Grades 6-12 Student Research

Students have access to information about arts & literature, biographies, business & government, current issues, geography, health, history, science and math. If you’re not in the library, you can access this database using your library card.

Funk and Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia

Provides direct access to a complete encyclopedia with articles covering a large number of diverse subjects.  If you’re not in the library, you can access this database using your library card.

Montana Hunting Companion
Find out about where to hunt, what to hunt, when to hunt and more with the Montana Hunting Companion website, a collaborative effort between the Montana State Library and Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks. The website contains information on everything from licensing information and seasons calendars to game companions and land ownership maps.

Montana Fishing Companion
If fishing is more your style, check out the Montana Fishing Companion for fishing seasons, where to fish, licensing, and general information about fish in Montana.

My HealtheVet
The US Department of Veterans Affairs has created a webpage called MyHealtheVet where VA patients may view, print, or download their VA health care data, fill prescriptions, view their VA appointments, and more. Additionally, the Libby Clinic is partnering with the VA to make health care more easily accessible for veterans in Lincoln County. To find out more, contact the Libby Clinic, 293-8711.

Heritage Museum
Located in Libby, the Heritage Museum has public displays and an archives area for research.

Montana GenWeb Project for Lincoln County
Lincoln County’s genealogical website which includes numerous resources, including a name index from local history books.

Log on to HeritageQuest Online through the library and begin instantly searching the database’s millions of records for clues to the past as far back as the 1700s. Patrons will need their 14-digit library card number (found under the barcode on your library card) to access HeritageQuest Online.
