Libby Revitalization Inc. (LRI) and the City of Libby have
finalized a Downtown Revitalization Strategy and Mineral Avenue Streetscape
Master Plan. LRI secured consultant services from CTA Landworks, The Hingston
Roach Group and Welch Comer Engineers to lead the community in an analysis of
economic development strengths and challenges, opportunities for Downtown Libby,
and actions to accomplish project goals. As a result, Downtown Libby now has a
detailed blueprint for specific revitalization actions and a concept plan for
Mineral Avenue, including design concepts, priorities, a timeline,
responsibilities, budget, and sources of funding to pay for it.
The Master Plan is designed to be market-driven -- the actions were
developed to respond to Libby's changing economy and market conditions, to
enhance the Downtown district to be more customer-friendly, and to fulfill its
role as the social, cultural, civic, financial and commercial center of the
community.
