Celebrate the International Year of Astronomy at your local library!

2009 is the International Year of Astronomy. To celebrate, the Lincoln County Public Libraries are hosting many star-studded events in the month of January, 2009. The libraries will be bringing the star lab to area schools between January 12-23, times to be announced. After school, kids can visit the Libby Library on Thursday, January 22 to make their own constellations.

January’s ”cheap date” movies are Stargate, playing January 24, and Spaceballs, playing January 10. As always, cheap date movies are free of charge. Both movies are in the Libby Library Conference Room and start at 12 noon.
